Taiwan Lantern Festivals
There are several lantern festivals held in different parts of Taiwan. Tourism Bureau has been holding the Lantern festivals for over 20 years not only to promote tourism in the country but as well Taiwan’s charming culture, celebrations and festivals. What used to be a traditional display of hand held lanterns is now combined with technology to create huge and magnificent lanterns that light up the streets of Taiwan. Other than the lantern parades, there are also performances and folk arts; making the lantern festival a favorite not only by the locals but also to tourists.
